It is tempting to read 53.7% as a difficulty score for the roads. It is not. A centre's pass rate is mostly a fact about the people who book tests there: how much instruction they have had, how much private practice, how many are on a second or third attempt, and how ready they were when the date came round. Nationally the range runs from 34.3% to 63.2%, and no set of junctions explains a gap that wide.
Two candidates of the same standard do not have meaningfully different odds because of a postcode. What does change the odds is hours behind the wheel on the roads they will be tested on, which is why the useful question is not whether this centre is hard but whether the roads around it are familiar.
