Are these the official Whitby Test Centre driving test routes?
No — and no one has those. The DVSA withdrew its published test routes, so there is no current map of the route you will be given. Examiners at Whitby Test Centre work from a pool of routes over the surrounding roads and choose on the day. The 15 routes we hold here are real GPS traces recorded on tests at this test centre, which is the closest honest substitute: they show the roads examiners actually use.

How to practise for Whitby Test Centre
- 1
Drive the roads around the test centre
Routes start and finish here, so the surrounding few miles do most of the work. Cover them at different times of day until the awkward junctions stop being surprises.
- 2
Learn the local road character
Watch how the recorded routes behave: where they meet roundabouts, where they sit on dual carriageways, and which manoeuvres the geometry keeps asking for.
- 3
Move your lessons into the test area
In the final weeks, ask your instructor to run mock tests starting from Whitby Test Centre itself. It is the closest legitimate rehearsal of test day there is.
