How to Export GPX from Strava, Komoot & Garmin

Exporting a GPX file from your favorite route planning app is the first step to previewing it in 3D terrain on RoutePOV. Here's how to export from the five most popular platforms.

SStrava

  1. 1Open the route in Strava (web or mobile).
  2. 2Click the three-dot menu next to the route name.
  3. 3Select "Export GPX" from the dropdown.
  4. 4Save the file to your computer or phone.

KKomoot

  1. 1Navigate to your planned tour in Komoot.
  2. 2Click the "..." button on the tour page.
  3. 3Choose "Export GPX" under the download options.
  4. 4The GPX file will download automatically.

GGarmin Connect

  1. 1Open your course or activity in Garmin Connect.
  2. 2Click the gear icon (settings) on the right.
  3. 3Select "Export GPX" from the menu.
  4. 4Choose "Course" or "Track" format (Course recommended).

AAllTrails

  1. 1Open the trail page on AllTrails.
  2. 2Click "Download" below the trail name.
  3. 3Select "GPX" from the format options.
  4. 4Save the file and upload to RoutePOV.

RRideWithGPS

  1. 1Open your route in RideWithGPS.
  2. 2Click "Route Options" in the toolbar.
  3. 3Select "Download" and choose "GPX Track".
  4. 4File is ready for 3D preview.
